Prehealth Advising

Appointment Styles Offered: Phone and Zoom

First-Year Students: Welcome and Information Appointments

Your first appointment will welcome you to our office, familiarize you with our services, and provide you with information for getting started on your preparation to a health profession graduate program. These appointments will allow you to explore different health professions and learn what's important to know your first year. At the end of the appointment, you'll be able to officially designate a prehealth track and we'll help you create a plan in Degree Works with the right prerequisite classes for your goals.

Nursing

While the Prehealth Advising Office is better equipped to helping students who are planning to attend a health graduate program, it is common for us to work with nursing students who are also considering other paths in health care. In this case, students will have TWO advisors, a Prehealth Advisor and USU's Nursing Advisor, Heather Thomas.
